On Nov 1 2008, irc.ashbusstop.org ceased to exist and the channel #alt.suicide.bus.stop has been retired indefinitely. However, some of the former members of #alt.suicide.bus.stop have formed a new channel called #asbs.

#asbs does NOT (like #alt.suicide.bus.stop did) focus on the topic of "Pro-choice Suicide Chat", but instead focuses on affective disorders in general.

For many reasons, #asbs is not connected officially to the old #alt.suicide.bus.stop channel or its founder. However, you will find many of the same folks who inhabited the old channel present in the new one. Religious intervention or trying to be a "hero" will not be tolerated in the new channel. It is imperative that this channel remain a safe and most importantly free channel where one can talk freely without risk of persecution or some overzealous person harassing them.

Thank you so much SR-71A for all you have done for us these years. The sweat, effort and sacrifices you have put into running both the webboard and irc-channel for us all. A warm hug to you and a salute!

Ventilate your problems, chat about everyday life, ask and get advice, joke around, curse god, waste time, have fun! Chat away folks! But um, take it easy so you dont end up like the guy in the picture to the right.
